HFB_01 (HydroFoil-Bridge_01) is a concept for a dynamic pedestrian bridge that is using a submerged hydrofoil to hold up the bridge. Through turbulences in the water, pedestrians can truly feel the power of the river under their feet.

In a 1-day design challenge, students were asked to explore extraordinary conceptual ideas for a pedestrian bridge over the river Mur in Graz, Austria.
A floating bridge that is supported by two joints and held up by a hydrofoil. Pedestrians can see and also feel the power of the river.
Evaluation of size and proportion based on measurements from an open source map.
